A WOMAN heading for a driving test hit 2 of the 4 small children accompanying her killing one of them after getting into the wrong gear and zooming at them as the stood waiting the footpath, Sanook.com reported today (Feb. 6).
At 11 am today Pol.Lt.Col. Sawang Sanumuen, duty investigator at central Sing Buri province police station, rushed to the Transportation Office parking lot together with rescuers where they found that a Nissan March sedan, driven by Ms Naphee Chabue, 36, a Muser tribe Thai national, had hit and killed her 4-year-old niece, Miss Fah (assumed name), and seriously injured her 7-year-old nephew, Somwang.
Although Ms Naphee was wailing and crying throughout police found out that she was on her way to take a driving test accompanied by the 4 small children and 2 adults.
She had parked her car at that slot but upon returning to pull out had told the 4 children to wait on the footpath in front of the car while she backed out, but instead doing that she got into forward gear and zoomed ahead hitting 2 of the 4 children.
The rear wheels also hit a BMW parked nearby.
