Paweena Hongsakul from the Paweena Hongsakul Foundation, Suvarnabhumi Airport Link Police, and related officials help a woman who has been living in the airport for 2 months. The woman claims she is waiting for her mother to pick her up. Paweena has contacted related officials to help the woman. A security guard at the airport revealed that the woman has been asking passengers for money along with stealing from stores inside. The foundation was contacted by the airport police to come in and help the woman. The woman has been spotted living inside the airport mainly at gate 4 floor 1 for almost 2 months.
Related officials from Samut Prakan went to the airport on 22 October 2022. The officials found the woman who appears to be underweight and was asking for food and money from passengers. She has been living inside the airport and has not left. Her main way of surviving is asking for help from passengers along with stealing items from a convenient store located inside the airport. She would sleep inside the airport and was found with a blanket wrapped around her. Officials tried talking to the woman, but she did not make much sense.
The woman kept talking in circles and could not remember any relatives or where they live. She kept repeating that she was waiting for her mother to pick her up and had just returned from abroad. A security guard stated that Noi has been living in the airport but was not a passenger and is a Thai person. She would survive by asking for food and money from other passengers. She also steals from the 7/11 store inside of the airport. The Samut Prakan Protection Center for the Destitute and related sectors will help protect Noi and provide her with help. They will provide her a safe place to stay while searching for her relatives.
