A WOMAN who fainted and fell on the rail track at BTS Rachathevi station early this morning (August 15, 2018) was safely rescued with trains running both sides having to make emergency stops, INN News reported.

BTS tweeted through its account @BTS_SkyTrain that this woman fainted at 8.15 a.m. and fell on to the track of the train heading for Samrong station and for this reason there are still some delays.

Other Twitter users praised BTS for not covering up this incident and explaining the cause of the delay. Some suggested that BTS should install protective barriers at all stations to prevent this sort of mishaps from occurring.

Meanwhile Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha will late this morning be checking the mass transport in Bangkok by traveling from National Stadium to Bang Wa station where be he will be briefed about rail and boat transport links.

BTS advised passengers that if they feel giddy or weak they should sit down on the floor, after that the staff will come and help them
