A woman transferred funds over 30 times to a man on the internet. The victim sells clothing and sends the man over 1 million THB. The Sanook News Team reported on 27 May 2021 at 14.30 at the Pro Bono Lawyers Group in Bang Yai District, Nonthaburi Province. The victim is 36 years old and works in Maha Sarakham Province. She traveled to the group hoping to find justice. The victim stated the man used to be an engineer and works at a hospital. Throughout a period of 3 months, she transferred money over 90 times to the man bringing the total to 1,492,308 THB. The woman tried searching for the man, but he has not been found.
She also discovered that the man had quit his job at a company since October 2020. She hopes that the lawyer at the group known as lawyer Tong will help her. Miss A revealed she met him own Facebook and later started talking on Line application. They met up after 2 days and he started mentioning he was facing financial issues. A saw that he was an engineer at a hospital, so she believed he had a bright future. The first transfer was 32,000 THB and the man promised to return it. She continued sending him money, at least 10,000 THB per time.
She found out all his stories were not true on 10 March 2021. When she tried to ask for all her money back, he disappeared from all online platforms. He has sent back some money in the past. He also promised to sell his home worth 4 Million THB to pay her back. When she finally had enough and told him that she knew the truth, he was gone. A searched for his company and called their number, but then she found out he has not been working there for a while. Miss A wishes that her story will help protect other women from falling victim to the man and other alike him.
