AN UNIDENTIFIED young foreign man hanged himself after setting his house on fire in Chonburi at 3 a.m. this morning (March 29), Sanook.com reported.
A police team led by Pol Col Chalothorn Prempree rushed to investigate and found that the Thai-style house built on around 2 rai of land and right at the end of Sattahip Sukhumvit soi 13 was fiercely ablaze.
It took firemen who came on 3 fire engines over an hour to put it out. Also destroyed were a pickup truck and a motorcycle parked next to the house.
A little way ahead of the house near a water tank a foreign man of unknown nationality wearing a pair of camouflage shorts was found hanged by a nylon rope from a beam with his hands cuffed behind his back.
Written on a wall near the tank was a death note: “Are you happy now? You and your family have taken and stolen everything from me, including my daughter and my life. Now you have all exactly what you wanted!”
Also written there was “Daughter- Mayrisa White, Mother- Dorothy White, Son- Ethan White”
Pol Col Chalothorn said investigation and evidence gathered indicates that the deceased laid out a good plan to kill himself. Before doing so he had dialogues via Line messaging system with a woman friend, mentioning family problems and his decision to kill himself, he also sent photo of setting his house on fire.
Police are unable to identify the deceased man’s nationality because all the documents were destroyed in the fire and they are now waiting to question his woman friend.
