A YOUNG Thai woman was found shot dead in her brand new Honda City sedan last night in central Nakhon Pathom province with the gunman immediately speeding off in another vehicle, Sanook.com reported this morning (Sept. 4, 2018).
Pol Capt Sathaporn Duangsi, deputy inspector for investigation at Nakhon Pathom station, rushed to the scene of the murder at 2.53 a.m. together with doctors and forensic officials.
There by the side of Prapa- Na Sarang road, and in front of soi 3 in Mueang district, they found Miss Nopthorn, 24, lying in a pool of blood across the front seat with the car lights and engine still switched on and the gear in P mode.
She was wearing a brown T-shirt and denim shorts plus a gold bracelet and a watch. With her was a famous brand handbag in which there was some money.
Residents in this neighborhood told police that it was almost 3 a.m. when they heard 2 cars parking nearby with the engines still running, as if the drivers were talking.
Then they heard some shots and one of the cars quickly drove away. Upon seeing the young woman shot dead in the car, they called the police.
Police said her murder could have either stemmed from money issues or love entanglement, but the latter carried more weight.
The young woman’s body has been sent for an autopsy, but it was initially seen that she had been shot once each in the head, shoulder and lower rib cage and then 2 to 3 times more across her body.
