Mr. Ekkapop Luengprasert, an adviser to the Interior Minister and founder of Sai Mai Tong Rod (Sai Mai District Must Survive) community Facebook page, said in a post shared at 2.47 a.m.that, “An unusual money trail – over US$247,911,936, worth more than 8,223 million baht, was transferred out just an hour before ‘Coach Lab’ of The iCon was arrested.”
Coach or Boss Lab is the nickname of Mr. Jiravat Saengphakdi, the direct sales company’s programmer, who is among the executives detained for an initial 12-day period.
A Department of Special Investigation (DSI) team raided two places used to store iCon Group’s data on cloud storage server and hold the company’s website data.
The first was a rented building on Ratchada-RamIntra road, Bueng Kum district, and the second a four-storey building in Thanyaburi, Pathum Thani, housing Serverich Co., Ltd which is a company owned by Coach Lab with various servers kept on the second and third floors.
However neighbours told police that Severich employees had moved out some computers, servers and equipment last Sunday. Nevertheless there are still a lot of devices in the building that could provide useful information for the case.
Among the 18 iCon Group executives ordered detained are Mr. Yuranant Pamornmontri, or Boss Sam, a veteran actor, Mr. Kan Kantathavorn, or Boss Kan, a famous presenter, Ms. Pechaya Wattanamontri, or Boss Min, a famous actress.
