Phuket welcomes new extension to Central Festival

THE wait is finally over; after more than a year of construction and planning, Central Floresta, the new extension of Central Phuket, has opened its door to delighted shoppers on Monday, September 10, 2018.

The new extension comes with a mix of luxury and local brands that will surely please both tourists and residents alike, alongside a plethora of new avenues ideal for lunch or dinner. The Peranakan concept is present throughout the architecture, which can be deemed authentic, while bringing a touch of luxury, through the selection of floorings and high ceilings.

While the main attractions are not yet ready (they should open in Q1 2019), you should plan a good couple of hours in order to wander through the different floors and discover some brands that were not available in Phuket until now.

Another great feature of this extension is the added parking space, more than 4,000, which allows motorists to find a parking space in a much easier way that what it used to be when only the main building was available.

Central Group is hoping to turn this area of Phuket into the next CBD of Bangkok, though much more developments are needed to reach that end goal.

Did you get the chance to visit the new mall? If so, we’d love to hear your thoughts about this 20 billion baht development!
