PTT Plc confirmed today (August 23) that it will continue doing business with the 7-Eleven convenience store chain because the two business giants have been good allies for a very long time, Thai News Agency said.
The oil and gas conglomerate came out to underscore its strong ties with 7-Eleven because there has been speculation that PTT might not renew its contract with the convenience store chain when it expires in 2023 and intends to replace them with its own Jiffy mart instead.
Suchart Ramas, PTT’s executive vice president for retail marketing, said PTT confirms retail business within the country will be continued together with the 7-Eleven chain which operates convenience stores at its pumps and is its good long term business ally.
Today there is a total of 1,400 7-Eleven stores at PTT’s pumps and there are plans to together increase this to 1,700 within four to five years.
