The incident took place on the 3rd of this month in Ekamai 21, Thonglor 20 also known as Soi Jamjan in Bangkok City. She explains that the man is tall and thin wearing a long-sleeved shirt with long pants and brown skin. The locals in the area told her that the man is Islam and he usually walks to different apartments in the area, stands in front of restaurants both at daytime and at night time. He also used to work as an illegal Win motorbike driver in Thonglor.

The man appears to be on drugs including sniffing glue. At around 20.10 the man approached Jele, she’s not sure if he was going to hurt her or rob her so she quickly walked away, then walking changed to running. Jele crossed the road and accidentally fell on the street due to the unleveled ground with rocky bumps. He continued to follow her and tried to grab her when she fell, luckily he wasn’t able to catch her.

Jele stated that at this moment her knees and hands were bleeding, dust and small dirt entered her wounds. She screamed for help, a Win motorbike driver came to help her and asked her what had just happened. The scary man decided to walk away, but he was still standing staring at her from across the road. Jele quickly explained to the good citizen the situation, so he told her to get on his bike.

The Win driver drove slowly because Jele was hurt, the scary man kept following her even though she was on a bike. The driver told another Win motorbike driver to keep watch of the scary man as a witness to the case. The good citizen drove her to the police station and the police saw the scary man walk past the station.

The police called him but he pretended not to hear and walked away. The officials followed him into Soi 7, but shortly after they lost him. The police told her to go to the hospital before coming to file a report later that night. Jele later found out that many women have been followed by the same man and they have also filed reports with the police on him. The Thonglor Police know him well but they cannot find him when the cases take place. He was born in the area and has lived there all his life.

If anyone sees the dangerous man or is followed by the man please notify the Thonglor Police at 02-381-8853 to protect other women from any future danger. Jele paid for her own medical bills and is frightened from the incident. She states in her post that she wishes the police would approach the case seriously. They asked her “what would you do after he is caught?”. What injury does a victim have to face before the man is prosecuted? The people in the area have to avoid him on their own.

Jele ends her post thanking the 2 Win motorbike drivers that helped her, they also took her to the police station and the hospital. She also thanks the locals that came to give her more information about the dangerous man and his past.
