Bag of life-savings returned to 80 year old senior in China

On the 13th of this month, China Xinhua News reported a happy incident that helps restore our faith in humanity. An 80-year-old senior citizen at an underground train station in Wuhan, Hubei, China, went to ask for help from the train officials in the station to help look for his missing bag. What happened was that he lost a very important bag that held all his official documents and all the money that he has been saving for all his life.

The bag is very important to him as it proves who he is and where he resides, and the money is needed to support the rest of his life, where he is at an age of retirement that cannot work to support himself any longer.

The underground train officials searched all over the train station for his bag. Finally, they successfully found the bag and brought it to the senior. As soon as the man saw that it was his bag, he fell down on his knees and kept on thanking the train officials. It was clear that the bag meant a lot to him and that the rest of his life depended on the objects in the bag.

The happy incident was shared all over Chinese Social Media, where the online world thanked the underground train officers for the successful search of the senior’s bag. One comment stated that labor workers born during the 60’s and 70’s are the saddest group of people, where they spent their life building the big cities, and now they are being replaced by machines. The truth is some still need a source of income to feed their family, and some are willing to work but there is no demand for them, even if their age has not yet reached the age of retirement.

The happy incident reminds us that there is still honesty and hope in this world. Where at times the world may seem dark filled with negativity and bad news, but humanity still has hope thanks to people like these underground train officials.
