British Council Hosts Special Workshop on Study in the UK and UK Student Visa

British Council advances education opportunities and strengthens international networks by organising a special workshop for education agents titled ‘Special Workshop on Study in the UK and UK Student Visa’. This workshop, in collaboration with UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI), updates information on visa applications for international students to study in the United Kingdom. Additionally, the British Council introduces training courses for education agent representatives, which gather essential information on education in the United Kingdom. These courses are available free of charge and offer certification upon completion, supporting the success of the UK Agent and Counsellor Training and Engagement Hub platform. This platform serves as a central hub for updating news and providing guidance for education agents interested in representing students’ educational pursuits in the United Kingdom. It remains a prime destination for Thai students seeking study opportunities abroad. Interested agents and the general public can visit agent-counsellor-ukhub.britishcouncil.org for news and updates.

Ms Uraiwan Samolee, Head of Education at the British Council Thailand, revealed, “Following the introduction of the UK Agent and Counsellor Training and Engagement Hub by the British Council, a platform consolidating crucial information, training, and tools for education consultancy on studying in the United Kingdom, both locally in Thailand and globally. This facilitates rapid and comprehensive access to the latest education news from the United Kingdom. Recently, we have continued our commitment to knowledge sharing, expertise, and networking between Thailand and the United Kingdom by organising the Special Workshop on Study in the UK and UK Student Visa. This event aims to introduce newly developed training courses along with updates on studying in the United Kingdom for the academic year 2024-2025, targeting education agents nationwide.”

The newly designed training courses for institutional agents, educational consultants, guidance counsellors, and all those involved in supporting international students aiming to study in the United Kingdom, boast several advantages. Notably, they offer free access to training without any cost, allowing for convenient online learning. The duration of the training is reduced by more than 25%, featuring concise and intensive content, covering the entire process from readiness preparation to application procedures, including insights into the UK education system, opportunities, and post-education employment skills, participants can choose from a variety of topics according to their interests. Upon successful completion of the assessments, participants will receive certified training certificates from the British Council, guaranteeing their thorough understanding of the UK education system.
