Old soldier causes freak accident in Lampang

A 23-year-old petrol station cashier in the northern Thai province of Lampang got the fright of her life this morning (Saturday, July 1) when a car entered and smashed into a cash-vending machine next to her, INN News reported.

The culprit was an 82-year-old retired soldier who lives in the province. “I was looking for the gasoline pump and lost control,” the old man said, still shaking from the accident. “Luckily, I did not kill anyone.”

Two customers were slightly hurt and sent to the provincial hospital. No criminal charge was filed, but the old soldier will have to foot the bill, said INN News.
