Move to alleviate airport queuing turmoil
IN a move to resolve the problem of tourists having to spend many hours clearing the immigration procedures at both Don Mueang and Suvarnabhumi airports the Immigration Bureau today (August 13) ordered the mobilization of more officers from across the country to ease the queues, Thai News Agency said.
Around 200 immigration officers from checkpoints nationwide will be coming to Bangkok’s two international airports to help cope with an expected big inflow of tourists.
The Immigration Bureau is optimistic that a bigger staff will shorten the hours of wait to clear immigration procedures to 45 minutes.
