Two women tie the knot in Lop Buri

TWO Thai businesswomen got married in a lavish ceremony in the central province of Lop Buri this morning (Nov. 7), witnessed by hundreds of well-wishers, the Thai-language daily Thai Rath reported.

The bride, 33-year-old Amporn Plienchai, owns 33 flower shops in Lop Buri. The groom, 37-year-old Chatkun Puangsombat, is an exporter in Nakhon Sawan. They met six months ago while visiting a temple in Sing Buri Province.

“We both had a failed marriage. It was as if by fate that we met in the temple,” said Chatkun.

“I dropped the flowers, and she picked them up for me. Since then we have been talking and meeting each other.”

The groom brought along a dowry, which included one million baht in cash, a jewel ring, and 50-baht weight of gold.
