Road closed this evening for tourism parade
OFFICIALS are rushing to put finishing touches to 6 floats which are part of a parade going through Rama 1 Road from Charoenphol till Ratchaprasong intersection this evening, Thai News Agency reported today (Nov. 15).
Police said this 2-kilometer stretch of the road will only be closed for the procession to pass through from 5 pm till 9 pm,
The ceremony to launch Amazing Thailand Tourism Year 2018 will take place in front of Siam Discovery at 6.45 pm and will be presided over by Deputy Prime Minister General Thanasak Patimaprakorn.
The National Tourism Board had passed a resolution to launch Amazing Thailand Tourism Year 2018 to focus on and support activities which are both charming and culturally unique.
While developing Thai tourist destinations to be leading ones in the world the aim is also to do so by maintaining Thai identity and continuously spread income to all communities in the country.
