TWO brothers who were driving back home from a New Year party drowned after their car flipped over and fell into a canal, Thai News Agency reported today (Jan. 1. 2018).
Pol .Col. Paiwan Peekaew, the duty officer at Damnern Saduak police station in central Ratchaburi province, called rescuers in to quickly pull the car out of the canal in Donkhlang subdistrict this morning.
The team later found that the 2 brothers, Kachornsak Saetae, 35, and Apirat Saetae, 25, had drowned. Their bodies were sent to forensic pathologists for an autopsy.
Their sister said her 2 brothers went out to celebrate New Year and while returning and reaching this particular spot, which is a sharp curve, they car appears to have overturned and plunged into the canal.
They might not have been able to get out because this canal is full of weed and scrub, she added.
