Police still chasing Red Bull heir despite red notice removal
THAI police this morning (March 16) confirmed that they are still chasing Red Bull heir Vorayuth Yoovidhya, or Boss, even though a red notice for his arrest no longer appears on the Interpol website, INN News reported.
Pol. Col. Krisana Pattanacharoen, a deputy spokesman of the Royal Thai Police, said it is at the discretion of the Interpol which arrest warrants they display on their website.
However he underscored that the removal of the red notice from this website does not affect efforts to chase and arrest the suspect, who was charged with killing a Thai policeman in a car accident in Bangkok in 2012.
The Interpol website is but one avenue and is meant for the general public to get information about wanted suspects, he said, adding that the Thai police does forward arrest warrants and liaises with counterparts in other countries directly, and has been doing so about this case right from the start.
However, Thai police has not got information which country Vorayuth is in, whether that country is a member of Interpol and does it have an extradition treaty with Thailand.
