Prayut making 2 big trips tomorrow
PRIME Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha will make two big trips tomorrow to boost public morale after two tragic incidents occurred in the country, Sanook.com reported today (July 8, 2018).
He will first fly to Phuket at 10 a.m.to meet Chinese tourists whose boat had capsized in choppy sea. He will ensure that proper medical treatment is given to the tourists.
At 2 p.m. he will fly to the northern province of Chiang Rai to observe the rescue operation for 13 boys trapped in a cave, and boost the morale of rescuers.
Phoenix diving boat which went down in bad weather on Thursday evening (July 5, 2018) near Koh Hae island off Phuket was carrying 105 people, 93 tourists and 12 crew members and a guide.
A total of 37 tourists and the 12 crew members and their guide have been rescued, totaling 49 people. Of those rescued 11 were injured and were sent to various hospitals in Phuket. The accident claimed 41 lives while 15 are still missing and are being searched for near the area where the boat sank.
