Diner forced to pay B250 for a bottle of water
A YOUNG Thai man this morning (Oct 5, 2018) wrote on his Twitter account about a restaurant in Bangkok’s Sukhumvit Soi 3, which charged him 250 baht for a bottle of water, the Thai-language daily Khao Sod reported.
“I told the waiter that it was outrageous to treat me like this. As I raised my voice, three more waiters came and blocked me from leaving,” he wrote.
“This is not a cheap restaurant and I had to pay for my own safety,” he added.
“It is the worst experience that I have had with restaurants in Bangkok.”
