Future Forward recruiting members in Northeast
FUTURE Forward Party is currently recruiting new members in northeastern Surin province after its ranks swelled to 8,000 nationwide, Thai News Agency reported this morning (October 24, 2018).
Mr Piyabut Saengkanokkul, the party’s secretary general, said in Surin that his party gives importance to participation by its members with there being decentralization to the provinces.
An example of this is the party leader not appointing the Surin provincial board, provincial party representatives and district directors who will instead be selected by the members.
He added that the party, which will be unveiling its complete platform in December, will be contesting all 350 constituencies with candidates having to both meet the legal requirements and uphold the same ideology as the party.
Anyone who meets the criteria may apply to contest for the seats not like in the past where people from prominent families or who have influence mostly ran in the election, he added
