Thai Airways plane accident in Paris, Flight to Bangkok cancelled.
One of Thai Airways plane ran into an accident on the 17th of this month. The flight was the TG931 flight used in Bangkok to Paris flights and the Paris to Bangkok flights with the A380 Airbus. The original plan was for flight TG931 to depart from the Charles de Gaulle Airport at 13.40 in France. Sadly, the Airbus ran into an accident that was not life-threatening but definitely requires time to repair in order to safely take off.
The plane was scheduled to arrive in Suvarnabhumi Airport, Thailand at 05.53 Thai Time in the early morning of the 18th. The accident occurred when the plane was about to takeoff from the runway in Paris when a Food Delivery Truck suddenly ran into the front wing of flight TG931.
The Food Delivery Truck was to deliver food to the airplane intended for customer service on the plane. The truck driver accidentally drove too close to the plane, causing the truck to crash into the front wing of the plane. The food delivery truck belonged to the Charles de Gaulle Airport.
Thai Airways had to cancel the following flight right away and proceeded to call the aircraft mechanic’s team in to repair and to make sure that the plane is absolutely safe before taking off to Bangkok, Thailand. Because of this, the airline was not able to confirm the new takeoff time until they are certain that such a plane is verified for takeoff.
The plane was almost a full flight with about 400 passengers inside the Airbus. Thai Airways has taken care of all customers, some customers have been transferred to another airline flying to Bangkok. The TG931 crew was sent to a nearby hotel until further notice is given to when the plane will be scheduled for takeoff.
It is expected that the repair is minimal and will be completed on the 18th of this month. The passengers that remain in Paris are expected to arrive in Thailand before the 19th of this month. Thai Airways will have to claim for damages caused by the food delivery truck belonging to Charles de Gaulle Airport.
