Medical Professionals and COVID-19 Recovered Patients Shared Impression with “MuvMi ASA KHONSONG”, Transport Service Project under “Mitr Phol-Banpu Endowment”

Bangkok – “MuvMi ASA KHONSONG”, Transport Service Project under the “Mitr Phol-Banpu Solidarity to Aid Thailand on COVID-19 Confrontation Endowment”, that Banpu supported its subsidiary, Banpu NEXT to join hands with ‘MuvMi’ bring electric Tuk Tuks to take COVID-19 recovered patients home safely and free. The service runs in the following three hospitals under Bangkok Medical Service Department, namely, Klang Hospital, Taksin Hospital and Charoenkrung Pracharak Hospital as well as 3 hospitals under Phyathai-Paolo Medical Campus, namely Phyathai 1 Hospital, Phyathai 2 Hospital and Paolo Phaholyothin Hospital. From September to present, “MuvMi ASA KHONSONG” has sent nearly 100 patients home, gaining positive feedback from both Medical Professionals and recovered patients who are impressed by this convenient, clean, safe and eco-friendly service. This project will be running for a total of 3 months until November 2021.

Dr. Katcharin Jiamsriphong, MD, Director of the Klang Hospital, revealed that “The Klang Hospital has been working hard combatting COVID-19 since its first outbreak in Thailand. The work covers both the treatment and prevention. As for treatment, the hospital opened 6 wards and an Intensive Care Unit specifically for COVID-19 patients. In addition, the hospital also oversees 5 Community Isolation Centers, field hospitals and provides treatments for approximately 3,500 patients who were in the government’s Home Isolation program. As for prevention, a vaccination center located at the hospital is established, as well as another vaccination center located at the University of the Chamber of Commerce, the cooperation between the Klang hospital and the Thai Chamber of Commerce. These many fruitful collaborations have certainly enabled the hospital to lift off our weight. In addition, another important task is taking the recovered patients home. So, we would like to thank the Mitr Phol-Banpu Endowment for running “MuvMi ASA KHONSONG”, a Transport Service Project to fill our gap. Our hospital staff would help the patients register and make reservations for service on MuvMi application. Then MuvMi e-tuk tuk would pick up the patient at the hospital. With its open-air and well-ventilated design, MuvMi e-tuk tuk offers safe transport for patients who have recently recovered from COVID-19. It is a pleasure for the Hospital to work with MuvMi ASA KHONSONG and on the behalf of the hospital, I would like to express our thanks to Mitr Phol-Banpu Endowment, all the executives and staff who took part in effectively helping those who have recovered from COVID-19. I strongly believe to overcome this crisis, we must sustain the cooperation and generosity of everyone in the society.”

Also, the recovered patients who received treatment from the 6 participating hospitals, thanked MuvMi ASA KHONSONG project organizers for extending their care for patients who must return home on their own. The patients also encourage the team to continue pursuing the mission to help those in need while sharing their impression of using MuvMi e-tuk tuk that they can conveniently register on the MuvMi application. The process was hassle-free and the driver offers quality, punctual and professional service, including making calls to arrange the time with the patients in advance, handling their luggage, driving with caution and speed at appropriate levels, strict preventive measures such as a clear partition between the driver and the passenger, providing alcohol spray on the vehicle. The ‘MuvMi’ project to take COVID-19 recovered patients home safely and free is, thus, an excellent project and they would like to see the company continue pursuing a social cause for the society.
