Boat capsizes in Pattaya, 29 passengers survive.

A boat has capsized in the waters of Pattaya with 29 passengers inside. All 29 are safe and have made it back to land. The Sawang Boribun Rescue team received notification of a boat accident on 23 December 2023 at 18.00. The notification stated there were many injured persons. The sea rescue team and related officials went to the location immediately. Officials found 26 tourists and 3 Thais floating in the water. With quick help, all persons were rescued successfully and were moved back to land.

There are 6 injured persons, officials made sure they were safe before delivering the injured persons to nearby hospitals. The other passengers were still in shock as the accident was very sudden. The boat named Sea Beach was floating on its side in the water, and officials dragged the boat back to land. Adisorn Wannabut 28 years old a tourist who was on the boat stated they were traveling from Koh Lan to Pattaya. While they were on the water the boat started swaying and water got inside. An employee on the boat announced for passengers to wear their life jackets.

Sompoch Pomthong 56 years old the captain stated there was heavy winds and the boat capsized. While the water started coming inside Sompoch told all passengers to put on their life vests as the situation started getting worse. Not long after the boat capsized the rescue team came on another boat to save the passengers. Police have invited Sompoch into the police station to find out whether he inspected the boat before driving out. An investigation has been started to find out the true cause of the accident. Luckily there are no critically injured persons and no death resulting from the accident.
