Miracle Smart Card Scam taking over Khon Kaen
Villagers in Ubonrat District, Khon Kaen Province are lining up to buy a Miracle Smart Card. This story was shared by the Facebook Page @nbtkhonkaennews, NBT Northeast is a local news page in Khon Kaen. Sellers are claiming that the smartcard can heal muscle pain in the body and other illnesses.
To heal muscle pain and other symptoms, simply place the smartcard in your drinking water. The cards are being sold for 1,100 to 1,500 THB. Villagers that believe this are usually facing health issues with hopes to heal.
The cards were being sold on the 11th of this month at the Saladin Village in the Ubonrat District. Villagers are made to believe that the card has a special energy that can be transmitted into drinking water. The main claim is that the card can heal many illnesses, but the biggest selling point is the promise to take muscle pain and body aches away. There are 2 ways to use this card for body pain, the first method is to place a cup of water on the card and count to ten, secondly is to place the card into the water.
A Grandmother 66 years old stated that she bought her card for 1,100 THB. She explained that her body has been struggling with back pain and her ears have been hurting. She had gone to see the doctor about her symptoms but she was never healed. She placed the smartcard on her back and now her ear is pain-free. In the same period of time, she has also been taking medication from the doctor. Another method she believes in is to place the card on her cup of water and pray for good health. She personally believes that the card can help heal her by 50%.
Another villager explained that she was invited to the smartcard training where the sellers refer to it as the “energy card”. Personally, she believes that the card has healed her back. She explains that the skin when in contact with the card becomes numb. The smartcard is spreading to other villages with more and more villagers believing that the card has the power to heal anything.
The villagers that don’t believe the miracle smart card claims ask for officials to come to inspect the card, they believe that this is a scam and want to protect other villagers from wasting their money on a plastic card.
