Blaze at Central Phuket’s walkthrough park put out
A FIERCE fire that lasted over an hour destroyed Central Phuket’s Tribhum 3D fantasy walkthrough park that was still being completed and was due to open next month causing millions of baht damage, the Thai-language Daily News reported today (Sept 29, 2018).
This 3D virtual adventure park is part of a major expansion with Central Floresta, the new extension of Central Phuket, having opened its door to delighted shoppers on Monday, September 10, 2018.
Pol Maj Virachart Sirah, investigation inspector at Wichit station, was alerted of the fire at 10.30 a.m. this morning and quickly sent firemen to extinguish it.
It took firemen over an hour to put out the violent blaze which was fanned by strong winds.
Tribhum is located outside the buildings and near the main road with interior decoration work still continuing when the blaze broke out.
Police suspect that a short circuit triggered the fire which led to millions of baht of damage.
