Giant 40-kilogram snake caught after eating 13 ducks.
Giant 40-kilogram python has been caught and released into the wild. The snake was found after eating 13 ducks. The giant reptile was found in Surat Thani Province. Wuttinan Rakdang a member of a local rescue team received notification from homeowner of a house in the province. A big snake was sleeping behind the fence and the owner decided it was so big he needed help. The Kanjanadit Local Rescue Team went to the home with special equip designed to catch the snake safely on 6 August 2022.
Wuttinan stated after receiving notification he went with other members of the team to inspect the home. The home is also a small convenience store for locals. The fence is located right behind the home. The team found a large snake sleeping peacefully behind the fence. They finally captured the snake after 20 minutes of hard work. Thanks to experience no persons and the snake were injured in the incident. Thr snake was measured and is over 6 meters long. The weight of the snake is over 40 kilograms. This is extremely heavy and long for a snake and we have a good idea why.
The snake has been eating ducks from the home over a period of time. The homeowner stated he had 18 pet ducks. Then they started missing one by one but he never knew where they went. There was nothing he could do but hope that the ducks were safe and remained in his yard. Finally, on the 6th of this month, the owner spotted a very large snake. He has 5 ducks left and the others were all taken by the snake. The team transported the snake and released it safely into the wild where it belongs. If your pet animals go missing, it is possible that a snake has been feeding on them.
