Indian couple badly injured after falling off a cliff
AN Indian couple holidaying in Thailand fell off a cliff in Krabi last evening and are badly injured, Thai News Agency said this morning (June 14).
Krabi’s tourist assistance center got a report from tourist operators at Railay beach that two foreigners were in serious condition after falling off Inthree cliff which is between Tonsai and Pai Plong beaches within Hat Nopparat Thara-Mo Koh Phi Phi National Park and quickly sent a surveillance boat and equipment to help.
However because it was already nightfall by the time they reached the accident site and there was lots of water cascading down the cliff this boat could not land but a flat-bottom boat from Railay Clinic was able to do so and succeeded in taking the injured couple to Ao Nammao Pier after which they were sent to a private hospital at Ao Nang.
The injured Indian couple are around 30 to 35 years old and perhaps fell off the cliff they were climbing because they are not familiar with the terrain.
The man’s left leg is badly broken and misshapen while the woman’s right arm and left leg are broken and her blood pressure is low.
