Man robs gas station reveals he takes 50 Yaba pills per day.
A man has been arrested after he robbed a gas station. The suspect reveals he takes 50 Yaba pills a day. He claims the drug helps him focus while playing online gambling. He also complained to the police, claiming that if they didn’t arrest him, he would’ve won millions from gambling. Police Lieutenant Colonel Ekkalak Direkun from the Hin Lek Fai Police Station in Buriram Province along with related officials arrest Sukachai 28 years old on 26 April 2023. Sukachai robbed a gas station in Hin Lek Fai Sub-district on 20 April 2023. He had robbed gas stations 2 times prior and got away with 5,000 THB and 20 foreign cigarettes.
Officials started an investigation and collected security footage that showed the suspect wearing a shirt from a construction store. He used to work at this store and was fired because he was caught using drugs. Sukachai stated he had to rob the gas stations because he is unemployed and needed money. He is addicted to Yaba pills and needed to feed his addiction. He used the 5,000 THB to invest in online gambling and buy drugs. He made 180,000 THB and then purchased a motorbike for 96,000 THB. He also purchased 200 Yaba pills for personal use.
Sukachai admits he has been online gambling with Yaba pills on the day of the arrest. He didn’t eat any food or drink any water at all, the Yaba was his total source of energy. When the police came in he was deeply invested in the online gambling slot machine. The suspect complained that the police shouldn’t have come to arrest him. He was about to win millions because he knew his luck. The suspect is facing charges of robbery using a vehicle, destruction of goods, forced entry, drug possession, and related charges. He has been delivered to the police station waiting for prosecution.
