No marriage registration on Valentine’s Day this year

There will be no marriage registration at all 50 metropolitan offices on Valentine’s Day this year, which falls on Sunday (Feb 14, 2021).

According to Bangkok Metropolitan Secretary-General Sillapasuay Raweesaengsoon, the decision was made because of the ongoing spread of Covid-19.

The office will only take care of cases of death and it has stopped Bangkok Mobile Service since last January.

In 2020, 2,913 couples registered their marriages in Bangkok, which was lower than in 2019, when 2,915 couples registered their marriages.
