No more seizure of driving licences
Starting from yesterday (Sept 22, 2019), traffic policemen are barred from taking driving licences from drivers who break traffic laws, the Thai-language daily Khao Sod reported.
Deputy Police Department director-general Pol Lt-Gen Damrongsak Kittiprapat said car owners can now use electronic driving licences issued by the Land Transport Department instead of the ordinary driving licence.
Another law dealing with drivers who fail to pay a fine for violating traffic regulations is still being considered.
