Police: MRT pipe bomb hidden during May 20-30
THE pipe bomb found in a stetch of wasteland near Thailand Cultural Center MRT station on Tuesday was left there from May 20 onwards, INN News said today (June 1).
Pol. Col. Arkhom Chanthonlart, acting head of Huay Kwang police station, said May 20 was the last time the motorcycle taxi driver who found it went fishing in a lake within the wasteland before doing so again last Tuesday.
That he found the bomb is because he was searching for a trawling net his friend had borrowed.
Pol. Col. Arkhom is holding a meeting with other police officers, police volunteers, motorcycle taxi drivers and guards at various buildings to ask for their help in getting information about this case.
He admitted that right now he could not say who the suspects were but asked for time for police to work because there are a lot of people to be questioned.
