Thai baby snatcher arrested
THANKS to CCTV, police in the Thai province of Nakhon Pathom were able to arrest a Thai suspect accused of stealing a new-born baby from a government hospital.
According the Thai-language daily Thai Rath, police detectives went to the hospital today (March 13), after being informed by doctors that a new-born baby was taken away while his mother was asleep.
With the help of a CCTV footage, police detectives found the suspect with the baby at a construction site, about a kilometer from the crime scene. The suspect said she had just lost a baby and, fearful that her husband would leave her, decided to steal the baby from another woman.
