Thaksin, Yingluck photographed in UAE
A PHOTO of fugitive sibling former prime ministers Thaksin and Yingluck Shinawatra taken with 2 Thais in United Arab Emirates was shared on Facebook yesterday, Sanook.com reported today (March 21).
A female Facebook user who posted the picture of herself together with Thaksin and Yingluck said it was taken at the Mall of Emirates at United Arab Emirates.
The accompanying caption said: “walking around the mall … chill …by chance … met Thais.”
Yingluck was found guilty and sentenced to 5 years in prison after being convicted of mishandling a rice subsidy scheme last year, while the Supreme Court’s Criminal Division for Political Office Holders issued an arrest warrant for Thaksin earlier this month in a revived telecom concession case that allegedly led to over 66 billion baht loss for the state.
