Third dugong found dead in Phang-nga Bay
A third dugong has been found dead in Phang-nga Bay this year, the lowest number recorded by environmentalists, the Thai-language Daily News reported yesterday (May 30, 2020).
According to Kasetsart University’s marine environmentalist Dr. Thorn Thamrongnawasawat, 23 dugongs were found dead last year.
“The question is why fewer dugongs have died,” said Dr. Thorn. “We have to continue collecting data to find an answer.”
