TV anchor in hot water over Thaksin
A POPULAR Thai TV anchor is under pressure after complaints were made that his recent news program presented “too much news” about former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra, the Thai-language daily Khao Sod reported today (Sept 17, 2018).
In his Facebook post, Mr Sirote Klampaiboon said one of the top directors of a state-run TV station was “unhappy” after reviewing the content of the program.
“I was called in to meet a TV station manager, who told me that the program showed too many footages and photos of the ex-prime minister and his supporters,” said Mr Sirote.
“From now on, you will not see me on TV anymore,” he added.
