Two million meth pills seized in cement truck
THAI narcotic suppression police today (May 16) seized a record 2,200,000 methamphetamine pills hidden in a cement truck in the southern Thai province of Chumphon, Sanook.com reported.
Acting on a tip-off, the police followed the truck until it stopped at a petrol station at 11.00 a.m. They swooped on the driver and his assistant, who confessed that they were hired to deliver the drugs.
The pills were contained in 22 bags, buried under the cement shipment. Known in Thailand as “crazy drugs,” meth pills have been causing a lot of problems in Thailand.
