Standing all of 314 meters tall and having as many as 77 floors while also officially recognized as Thailand’s tallest building, MahaNakhon is a mixed-use project built by Pace Development Plc.
From floor 1 to 20 is the 155-room Bangkok Edition Hotel operated by Ritz-Carlton; going up from floor 23 to 73 is The Ritz-Carlton Residences which has altogether 209 homes each with a skybox penthouse atmosphere; taking up the space from floor 74 to 77 is the Sky Observation Deck and Bar.
Meanwhile the free-standing seven-floor Cube lifestyle and retail center is directly connected to Chongnonsi BTS station.
The concept behind the eye-catching design is the wrapping of the building with a three-dimensional ribbon of architectural ‘pixels.’
Pace Development said yesterday that it has completed 937 million baht worth of transfers at Ritz-Carlton Residences as of the second quarter of this year from a total of approximately 10 billion baht worth of sales.
“Currently, sales of The Ritz-Carlton Residences at MahaNakhon has exceeded 70%” said Sorapoj Techakraisri, Pace Development’s CEO.
“We have planned several marketing initiatives to boost sales including a roadshow in Hong Kong as well as new show suites in the tower.
“The upcoming ‘MahaNakhon: Bangkok Rising, the Night of Lights’ event will also help increasing awareness of MahaNakhon globally.”
This company hopes to realize income from its Observation Deck which is similar to other such decks in leading capitals and is targeting six million tourists a year.
Revenue from this facility plus hotel and restaurant elements within MahaNakhon will help the company carry out its plan to set up a REIT fund in a few years’ time.
