Big assets seized from drug dealers
In the biggest suppression operation this year, Thai police and US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) officers yesterday (Oct 16, 2019) swooped on three houses owned by three alleged drug traffickers, two of whom are women, the Thai-language daily Khao Sod reported.
Altogether, more than 100 million baht worth of assets were seized from the alleged traffickers, who live in Samut Prakan, Nonthaburi, and Sukhothai provinces.
In addition to six million baht in cash, the officers seized nine cars, four motorcycles, 40-baht weight of gold, 10 expensive wrist-watches, and 16 bank books worth 25 million baht.
