Fire at huge shopping complex under control
A FIRE which erupted on the third floor of Fortune Town shopping complex at 8 a.m. this morning has been brought under control but black smoke is still billowing out of the building while no injuries have been reported so far, Thai News Agency said today (March 20).
Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Department officials rushed to put out the blaze and used fire truck bucket lifts to spray water at the huge shopping complex on Ratchadapisek road.
It is suspected that the fire started on the third floor and then spread to the fourth but firemen are able to spray the whole area and working on controlling the black smoke still billowing out.
One unit has already gone into the building to check the situation but is facing difficulty as there is a blackout.
