Telephone line reaches cave boys

THE riveting rescue of 12 young soccer players and their coach from the huge cave in northern Chiang Rai province continued incessantly overnight with rescuers and divers having run a telephone line to the spot within the cave where they are trapped, Thai News Agency reported this morning (July 4, 2018).

The telephone line extends 4 kilometers into the cave from the entrance and a canvass sheet has been spread from the outer edges to this entrance. However no conversation has yet taken place between the boys and their families.

More oxygen tanks have also been taken in so that Thai  Navy Seals within the cave can starting training the boys and their coach on  using oxygen masks when diving.

The Navy Seals and other rescuers outside the cave are making preparations on taking care of them once they are able to come out.

Fortunately this morning it did not rain in Chiang Rai.
