Airmen join search for missing Japanese

ROYAL Thai Air Force men today (April 12) joined park rangers and high-altitude rescuers to comb Doi Inthanon National Park in Chiang Mai province to look for an elderly Japanese tourist who went missing in the area on April 9, Sanook.com reported.

Searchers are looking for Kinya Nakamura, 82. He is described as healthy and an experienced trekker, but he failed to return to his trekking group on April 9.

A drone and sniffer dogs were also deployed in today’s search, along with about 100 park rangers and air force members.
