Monday morning crisis: Rain pounds city, expressway ramps flooded
WITH Bangkok hammered by pounding rain this morning (May 7) from dawn onward, many areas got flooded including some expressway ramps leading to massive traffic congestion, Sanook.com reported.

Making the situation worse for many motorists is that some expressway exits and entrances got flooded particularly the Ram-inthra-Ardnanong expressway exit to Pracha-uthit, and entrance ramp at Yothin Pattana and exit at Kaset Nawamin kilometer 1 where the 2 left lanes got badly flooded leading to massive tailback.
Meanwhile the Thai Meteorological Department said yesterday that Bangkok faces isolated and scattered thunderstorms during May 6-8 and scattered to fairly widespread thundershowers during May 9-12. Minimum temperature will be in the range of 24-26 ° Celsius while maximum temperature 31-35 ° Celsius. Southeasterly wind will be around 10-25 km an hour.
