Bad-mannered Thai receptionist jeered by Chinese
ATTRACTING a lot of online attention in China is a video clip showing a grumpy Thai receptionist who stiffly garlanded Chinese tourists with leis and only smiled when a cameraman came to take her photos, INN News reported today (May 9).
With this clip having gone viral in China, some netizens have made knockoff video clips using hangers or ID card ribbons as leis, and looking sullen throughout and only smiling when the camera came directly on them.
This clip is also circulating widely in Thailand, with several Thais commenting that as lots of Chinese tourists are now coming to Thailand, it is important that the service sector remember it is at the front line in projecting a good image of the country.
