Four steps to boost E-sarn region
Science and Technology Minister Suvit Maesinsee will visit Khon Kaen province during October 25-26 to follow up the ministry’s plan to develop the northeastern region into an economic center for the Mekong Sub-region, the Thai-language daily Matichon reported yesterday (Oct 23, 2018).
To achieve this objective, the ministry will implement four strategies as follows:
- Develop a sustainable water management plan for the region.
- Reduce poverty and strengthen the local economy.
- Link the region’s communication and transport networks with other regions in the country
- Enhance the region’s cooperation with neighboring countries through an economic corridor.
