Seeing wild elephants up close
Early winter has arrived and wild elephant watchers are preparing their trips to Khao Yai National Park in the northeastern Thai province of Nakhon Ratchasima, the Thai-language daily Thai Rath reported yesterday (Nov 8, 2018).

A larger number of elephants is likely to be seen after park officials have opened more natural salt mines. Elephant watching is now popular among Thai and foreign tourists who visit the park, which is also popular among bird watchers.
There are resorts and homestay facilities for visitors who want to stay longer in the park.
