Fire on S.Korean ship at Laem Chabang
Nearly 100 Thai villagers living near Laem Chabang port in Chon Buri province were evacuated to a safety zone yesterday (May 25, 2019) after a South Korean container ship caught fire and spew chemical substances into the air, the Thai-language daily Khao Sod reported.
Eighteen South Koreans on the ship were given medical treatment and Thai officials are now inspecting the ship to find out the cause of the fire.
The container ship is registered in South Korea.
