Prawit Wongsuwan shakes hands with New Zealand’s Ambassador to Thailand. H.E. Taha Macpherson from the New Zealand Foreign Affairs & Trade is the Ambassador to Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia. Thailand shakes hand with New Zealand on the corporation of the Military and for the fight against terrorism and violence.
Colonel Patchasak Patirupanon from the Ministry of Defence revealed that General Prawit Wongsuwan The Minister of Defence welcomed H.E. Mr.Tahamoana Aisea Cluny Macpherson the New Zealand Ambassador to Thailand and his group at the Ministry of Defence.
The 2 nations exchanged opinions to help promote the cooperation of Thailand and New Zealand on the topic of Military and security focusing on Anti-terrorism and the fight against violence. General Prawit complemented New Zealand on the relationship that has continued for over 62 years.
There have been continuous visits from officials from both nations regularly throughout the years of the relationship. The goal has been to work hand in hand between the military and the development of each nation’s economy. Both nations agree to continue work together and to keep on developing good relations between the nations.
General Prawit also invited New Zealand to invest in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC). Which is the project operating in three eastern provinces including Chachoengsao Province, Chonburi Province, and Rayong Province. The EEC project will benefit the economy from big manufacturers to SMEs and suppliers and even startups from the new gen.
H.E. Mr. Tahamoana thanked Thailand on the good relationship between the 2 nations. He is happy to carry on the mission to support the good relations within the military. New Zealand will also show support to Thailand by joining ASEAN Defence Ministers Meeting (ADMM) and the Defense and Security 2019 hosted by Thailand this year.
