Flooding critical in Ubon Ratchathani

All 25 districts in the northeastern Thai province of Ubon Ratchathani are now heavily flooded, Governor Sarit Witoon told the Thai-language newspaper Daily News this afternoon (Sept 6, 2019).

With the levels of water in the Moon and Chi rivers continuing to rise, it is difficult to contain the disaster.

Altogether 20,815 houses are flooded, and 377 houses are completely submerged. Altogether 241,382 rai of farming areas are under water.

As of 1.50 p.m., the level of floodwater remained high, making it difficult to contain the situation.
