AXA Thailand Boosts ‘Project Oceans For All’ to Clean Chao Phraya
AXA Thailand Insurance has launched the second phase of its partnership with the Oceans For All Foundation under the “AXA Project Oceans For All” initiative. Building on last year’s success, AXA will invest 1.3 million baht in a second catamaran made entirely from recycled materials to enhance waste collection along the Chao Phraya River throughout 2025.
Mr. Guillaume Mirabaud, CEO of AXA Thailand Insurance, emphasized that this initiative aligns with AXA’s global ESG mission, focusing on climate action and community empowerment. He stated, “This project reflects our commitment to inspiring change and protecting what matters most to our customers.”
David Martin, President of Oceans For All Foundation, shared the success of the first catamaran, which collected over 14,000 liters of waste in early 2024. He expressed optimism that the new vessel would double the project’s impact on preserving the river’s ecosystem.
Michael James Robinson, General Manager of Anantara Riverside Bangkok Resort, highlighted the resort’s continued support, including operational assistance and waste management solutions.
This collaboration between AXA, Oceans For All Foundation, and Anantara Riverside Bangkok Resort underscores the power of partnerships in environmental conservation, setting a new standard for sustainable development and creating a cleaner, more sustainable future for Bangkok.
